A Real-Time Data Monitoring Framework for Predictive Maintenance Based on the Internet of Things

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a platform that manages daily life tasks to establish an interaction between things and humans. One its applications, the smart office uses monitor electrical appliances sensor data using automation system, presented in this study. Some limitations existing system are unfriendly user interface, lack IoT technology, high cost, or restricted range wireless transmission. Therefore, paper presents design fabrication IoT-based with user-friendly smartphone interface. Also, real-time monitoring conducted for predictive maintenance nodes. This model Arduino Mega 2560 Rev3 microcontroller connected different sensors. collected from sensors sent cloud accessible on their despite location. A fault prediction based machine learning algorithm proposed paper, where k-nearest neighbors achieved better performance 99.63% accuracy, 99.59% F1-score, 99.67% recall. both models, i.e., naive Bayes, was evaluated metrics such as precision, recall, accuracy. It reliable, continuous, stable provides safety convenience employees improves work efficiency while saving resources.
